Harry Who? [12 Jun 2004|01:08am]

Yeah...so Me and Julia have created a Harry Potter rpg. It's not like the other Harry Potter rps where like everyone picks all the obvious characters like Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville and so forth. This one is different from them in that no one is allowed to pick the obvious characters with drawn out profiles, but in fact the minor characters. With combined forces of me and Julia, this rpg is the one to join. So join now!!!

Do it!!! That is if you enjoy such things as rpg's.

So, now that Howard Dean has suspended his campaign, who are you guys planning on voting for? Kerry? Edwards? Nader? Or are you still planning on voting for Dean in the primaries and hoping that there is a major upset at the Democratic Convention?

So I was checking my friends list this morning and came across this article.

Officially, the Kerry campaign pledges to bring the party together and to move past such gloating. But some establishment Democrats, both inside and outside the Kerry campaign, still intend to punish the Dean heretics. And, while well-known politicians, such as Gore, Harkin, and Moseley Braun, may endure the most public abuse, the people who may ultimately suffer explicit retribution for their Dean-boosting are cogs in the Democratic machine--people like Daalder, who toil in think tanks or union leadership or groups like the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC). As one former high-ranking Clinton administration official puts it, "Will they work again in this town again? I hope not."

Howard Dean's campaign is trying to raise $700,000 by Sunday for advertising in Wisconsin. Dean just announced that if he doesn't win Wisconsin, he's dropping out of the race. So if you're a Dean supporter, and you've got $5 (or $1) to spare, you can donate on their website.

Just wanted to point out that although he lost the Iowa and New Hampshire caucuses, Dean is still winning the general nomination, with more total delegates than second place John Kerry.

I think Muggles for Dean is a great idea! And I agree wholeheartedly...though it will be awful if for some reason Dean doesn't get the nomination, it's important that we support whoever DOES get the nomination so that we can get Cornelius Fudge George W. Bush out of office. Together though, I think we can get Dean elected! And this is a great idea for a group -- I'm sure there are a lot of Muggles out there who are unhappy with the way our country is being run. I'm going to be spreading the word to everyone I know. But is there anything else we can do for Muggles for Dean? Other stuff you need for the webpage?

We are... [21 Jan 2004|04:56pm]

In February we're going to begin construction on the Muggles for Dean site. What I was envisioning was a couple of pages describing Dean's position on things and how characters or plotlines in Harry Potter might be similar. Alfonso Cuaron, director of the upcoming Prisoner of Azkaban movie, has made some colorful remarks which should also be peppered around the site.

We are Muggles for Dean. We support Howard Dean, and that's why we're here. But if our worst nightmare befalls us, and Dean is somehow not nominated, I have every intention of supporting he who is. It's vitally important that George W. Bush not be allowed to continue the rampant destruction of this country's domestic liberties and international reputation.

Spread the word!
